Good King Wenceslaus, Latin version, and other carols

LatinTeach led me to a collection of ideas for celebrating festivals, including a rather neat Latin translation of Good King W. It is a pdf. You will spot the typo – for ‘non’ read ‘nox’ in the line “Ere, nox fit atrior”.

LatinTeach also points to more carols and Christmas songs (and one for Hanukkah) here. I haven’t gone through them in detail, but my overall impression is that teachers could use them with confidence, and that the Latin is really singable. The rhymes work well, too.
