Oxford Classics faculty is reaching out to schools.

I had an email passed on to me a couple of days ago from Katie Burningham, who introduces herself thus:

As the outreach officer for the Classics Faculty at Oxford, I am responsible for organising a series of activities to raise the profile of Classics in schools, especially in state schools; details of the programme can be found at http://www.classics.ox.ac.uk/outreach. I am putting together a newsletter about this.

Regular readers will have noticed that ARLT, too, is keen on raising the profile of Classics, so Katie and I have exchanged friendly emails, and are finding ways to cooperate.

So congratulations to Oxford Classics Faculty for appointing an outreach officer, and here's to future cooperation for the good of the Classics.
